If you enjoy the Ballet you will love being a member of Kansas City Ballet Guild! Miss Tatiana Dokoudovska founded the Kansas City Civic Ballet in 1957. In 1961, the Kansas City Ballet Guild was formed by the dancers’ mothers, who were eager to promote interest in and provide financial assistance for the young company. Today the Guild has a membership of approximately 150, that continues to promote interest in and provide financial assistance to the Kansas City Ballet. Members operate a retail boutique at each Ballet performance and produce the Ballet Ball. The proceeds from these two fundraisers enable the Guild to make a substantial annual gift to the Kansas City Ballet. When you become a Guild member of Kansas City Ballet you are given the unique opportunity to support our ballet through your involvement and support of these events, plus participate in social events while enjoying the company of other ballet supporters.
